Shaadi.com Founder Anupam Mittal has said Google's new in-app billing system violates the CCI's October 2022 antitrust directives. Calling Google "Digital East India Company", he said the new system is "neo-colonialism at its worst". Under the new system, Google will reportedly let developers use third party payment processors instead of Google's payment system but charge a service fee of 11-26%.
