IBM and NASA have developed a digital twin of the Sun, called Surya, using nine years of data from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory. The AI-powered model continuously updates with new solar observations, helping forecast solar flares and wind speeds. In trials, Surya doubled the warning time for flares to two hours and improved space weather prediction.
