The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed a fine of ₹8 lakh each on coaching centres Dikshant IAS and Abhimanu IAS over misleading ads and unfair trade practices. The centres used names and pictures of successful UPSC candidates without consent in ads claiming credit for their results, CCPA said. It added that this violates the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
