Senior IPS officer Dinkar Gupta on Thursday took over as the new Director General of Police, Punjab. Fifty-five-year-old Gupta said that keeping the border state safe and secure would continue to be a priority of the Punjab Police under him. Gupta, who is from the 1987 batch, is married to Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan.
