AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has strongly criticised the Centre's proposal to bring Chandigarh under Article 240, allowing the President to directly legislate for the UT. "It's a direct attack on Punjab's identity and constitutional rights," Kejriwal said. He added that such a move undermines the federal structure. CM Bhagwant Mann also called it an attempt to "snatch" Chandigarh from Punjab.
