The All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists, which has over 8,50,000 members, has written to Mukesh Ambani over Reliance Industries' acquisition of online pharmacy Netmeds. AIOCD said it's "very disheartening" to see that Reliance invested in an industry which is still illegal and not recognised under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. It added Reliance's move could create a "monopoly".
