Disney chief Dana Walden calls 300 layoffs 'extremely painful'
Disney laid off 300 employees, primarily in HR and technology, as part of its ongoing 'One Disney' restructuring under CEO Josh D'Amaro. President Dana Walden called the cuts 'extremely painful' but necessary to centralise operations. This is Disney's third layoff round since D'Amaro took over in March, following cuts of 1,000 in April and hundreds more in July.
