Djokovic-Nadal Aus Open 2012 final was longest Grand Slam final ever

The Australian Open 2012 men's singles final match between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal was the longest Grand Slam title match (by duration) in history. The match, which Djokovic won 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-7(5-7), 7-5, lasted five hours and 53 minutes. It overtook the record previously set by the 1988 US Open final between Mats Wilander and Ivan Lendl.
