DMK's Chandhirakumar VC is leading with a margin of 6,756 votes in the by-polls held for Tamil Nadu's Erode East seat. He has got 7,837 votes so far while NTK's MK Seethalakshmi has garnered 1,081 votes. Independent candidate H Mohammed Gaipeer is currently third with 113 votes. AIADMK, along with other opposition parties, had boycotted the polls.
