The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has dropped the plan to run MetroLite, sleeker, tram-like trains, for Red Line extension. MetroLite was initially planned for the area as they were projected to have a limited ridership, but it has been revised due to Delhi government's plans to create a transit-oriented hub in Narela, DMRC MD Vikas Kumar said.
