DNA links Ted Bundy to 1974 killing of Utah teen Melissa Smith

Utah authorities have said DNA evidence links serial killer Ted Bundy to the 1974 killing of 17-year-old Melissa Ann Smith, closing a 52-year-old case. The state crime lab matched Y-chromosome DNA from her case to evidence from another Bundy victim, Laura Ann Aime, officials said. Bundy was executed in Florida in 1989.
