Dr V Chandrasekaran, nephrologist at MGM Healthcare, Chennai said skipping breakfast is common among people. Skipping breakfast disturbs glucose metabolism and promotes insulin resistance, he said. Other common mistakes are eating food with too much sugar, including breakfast cereals, sweetened tea and packaged juices, eating processed food and processed meats like bacon and sausages.
