Doctors perform rare surgery to remove live worm from man’s eye

Indian ophthalmologists performed a rare pars plana vitrectomy to extract a live parasitic worm from a man’s eye after months of blurry vision and inflammation. The worm, likely ingested through raw fish, was identified as a larval nematode. Post-surgery, the patient was treated with steroids and anti-parasitic medication to prevent further complications.
