Breast pain does not always indicate breast cancer. Dr. Vinod Gore says it may result from hormonal changes, infections, cysts or other non-cancerous conditions. However, persistent pain, a breast lump, nipple discharge or skin changes should not be ignored and require timely medical evaluation for an accurate diagnosis.
