Does the moon have a 'dark side'?

The Earth's gravity is so strong that only one side of the orbiting moon is visible, thus hiding the 'far side' which is "saturated with craters". The difference between both sides is believed to be a result of different thicknesses in the crust. A video states that the varied thickness may have been caused by the collision of 'two moons'.
