Most RO systems reduce TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) to near zero, removing both contaminants and essential minerals. To fix taste, many use M-TDS (Manually Total Dissolved Salts Controller) valves that mix dirty water back in, raising TDS but reintroducing impurities. Choose systems that add pure minerals post-filtration, not recycled contaminants.
