Doesn't compromise its sovereignty: Denmark on US-Greenland deal

Denmark and Greenland said US' "permanent control" over Greenland's security, announced by President Donald Trump, would not compromise the island's sovereignty. "A binding agreement that strengthens security in the Arctic and the North Atlantic...while respecting the [Danish] Kingdom's red lines," Denmark said. This deal comes after months of tension over Trump's threats to seize Greenland.
