Dogs make pessimistic choices after smelling stress in humans

According to a study carried out by the University of Bristol, dogs experience 'emotional contagion' after smelling stress in humans. Because of this, they tend to make more 'pessimistic' choices, the study said. This study was the first one to test how human stress odours affect the learning and emotional state of dogs.
