Austrian tennis player Dominic Thiem on Tuesday retired from professional tennis at the age of 31. The former US Open champion lost 6-7 (6), 2-6 to Italy's Luciano Darderi in first round of Vienna Open in his last professional match. Thiem won 17 singles titles in his career. He won the 2020 US Open, his maiden Grand Slam singles title.
