Don't agree with that: Kerala CM over cleric's 'women should remain home' remark

Kerala CM VD Satheesan on Wednesday opposed Sunni Muslim scholar Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar's "women should remain confined in homes" statement, saying, "We cannot agree with that in any manner". He added that women should participate in all spheres of life and play a central role in society. The IUML earlier defended the statement, calling it a "scholarly expression".
