Don't call your company a family if you do layoffs: Netflix Co-founder Hastings
Netflix Co-founder Reed Hastings said companies should be run more like sports teams than families. "If you describe yourself as a family at a company, you better not ever do a layoff. You would never lay off two of your kids, right?" he stated. He said employees become "cynical" when companies describe themselves as families but fail to operate accordingly.
