Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court observed that NHAI or vendors shouldn't collect toll tax on highways if they are in "bad shape". The court was hearing a PIL seeking toll exemption on the Pathankot-Udhampur national highway section which is under construction. It also ordered that 20% toll tax will be collected at two plazas till construction is completed.
