King George's Medical University (KGMU) has urged people not to ignore fever during the monsoon, saying the first 24 hours are crucial for diagnosis. Experts warned that dengue-carrying Aedes mosquitoes breed in clean, stagnant water and not in dirty water. Checking and emptying standing water weekly can help prevent dengue and other seasonal infections.
