Naib Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid, Maulana Syed Shaban Bukhari, appealed to all Muslims on Friday to "not sacrifice animals in the open" on Eid. "Perform qurbani (animal sacrifice) only...at designated places and follow the government guidelines," he stated. "Avoid sacrificing...in the markets, take special care of cleanliness and be respectful of your neighbours' feelings," he added.
