The Supreme Court heard the Delhi Development Authority's plea seeking permission to cut 473 trees in the Delhi Ridge area. SC said it will permit felling of additional trees only after 1.67 lakh trees are planted across 18 pockets of land, as ordered in November 2025. "We don't want these 18 pockets to turn into AI-generated forests," the SC remarked.
