US President-elect Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump paid their respects in front of the flag-draped casket of former President Jimmy Carter at the US Capitol Rotunda in Washington DC. Carter is being honoured with a funeral service on Thursday at Washington National Cathedral. Trump, who had praised Carter as a "good man", will also attend the funeral.
