Columnist and author E Jean Carroll told a New York court jury on Wednesday, "I'm here because (former US President) Donald Trump raped me." She has filed a lawsuit against Trump over the alleged 1996 sexual assault and for defamation. "He (Trump) lied and shattered my reputation. I'm here to try and get my life back," Carroll told the court.
