Andrew Chael, a scientist behind the first-ever black hole picture, asked people using his achievement as "sexist vendetta" against Katie Bouman, the mission's female scientist, not to congratulate him. "I wrote much of the code for one of the pipelines...but Katie was a huge contributor," Chael said. "I'm thrilled she's getting recognition...and pointing this was a team effort," Chael added.
