Talking about the importance of pacer Jasprit Bumrah, ex-India cricketer Mohammad Kaif said India need a fully fit Bumrah "to do well in World Cup at home". Adding that India doesn't have Bumrah's "backup", he stated, "If Bumrah doesn't play, we will lose, like we did in Asia Cup T20." Bumrah's last appearance in international cricket was in September 2022.
