SEBI has asked mutual funds (MF) not to assure returns to investors and reminded the Association of Mutual Funds of India to comply with the advertisement code as part of SEBI-MF regulations. Since all mutual funds invest money in equity and debt markets, net asset values are subject to market conditions and promising returns doesn't make sense, the regulations noted.
