'Doomsday planes' fly in US, Pentagon denies link to Trump's COVID-19 diagnosis

The two US Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft detected flying along both coasts of the US were pre-planned and the flight isn't linked to US President Donald Trump's COVID-19 diagnosis, a US Strategic Command spokesperson said. The E-6B Mercury, dubbed the 'Doomsday plane', is one of the Pentagon's airborne nuclear command posts and a derivative of the commercial Boeing 707 aircraft.
