DRDO plans new missile testing range in West Bengal's Junput

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is planning to set up a new weapons and missile testing range in West Bengal's Junput. The proposed testing range located about 70km along the Bay of Bengal from Odisha's Chandipur will supplement the existing Integrated Test Range (ITR) and share its workload. The state government approved DRDO's proposal for the testing range.
