Drone strikes cooling tower at Russia's Kursk nuclear plant

A drone attacked the cooling tower of a reactor unit at Russia's Kursk Nuclear Power Plant on September 17. The IAEA confirmed no fire erupted and the unit continued operating normally. IAEA chief Rafael Grossi called strikes on nuclear facilities unacceptable, urging maximum military restraint near nuclear sites to minimise accident risks.
