Former PM and JD(S) leader HD Deve Gowda on Wednesday said that Droupadi Murmu is a suitable candidate to be the President of India. Murmu was recently announced as the National Democratic Alliance's Presidential candidate. However, Gowda didn't respond to a question about whether his party would support Murmu or Yashwant Sinha, a joint nominee of major Opposition political parties.
