A retired soldier in Punjab's Bathinda was attacked by the drug mafia while he was riding a bike, leaving him with fractured legs. Randhir Singh said he has been running a campaign to end drug abuse and that drug peddlers had a grudge against him. Police have registered a case against three persons accused of attacking Singh.
