Dry days reduced from 12 to 4.5 in West Bengal

The West Bengal government has reduced the number of dry days from 12 to 4.5 and has allowed hotel bars and clubs rated three stars and above to serve alcohol all 365 days a year. The state's licenced liquor shops will now remain closed on Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Muharram's 10th day and Dol Jatra until 2 pm.
