DU orders safety audit of colleges, hostels, sets Oct 12 deadline

The University of Delhi (DU) has directed all colleges, departments and hostels to conduct comprehensive safety assessments and submit detailed reports by October 12. The move aims to improve lighting, CCTV surveillance and security measures for women. The university has also asked authorities to identify blind spots and install additional streetlights in poorly illuminated areas.
