Dubai launches its first-ever passenger train

In a milestone for UAE's growing public transport network, Dubai's first passenger train service under Etihad Rail began on Wednesday. The inaugural train departed Al Yalayis Station at 6:14 am and reached Abu Dhabi at 7:18 am. The service connects Dubai with Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, with trains capable of reaching 200 kmph and carrying up to 400 passengers.
