Dubai's skyrocketing rents forcing expats to move to 7,000-year-old city Sharjah

An increasing number of expats are saying they're being forced to leave Dubai due to soaring rents, Bloomberg reported. Many are moving to the nearby 7,000-year-old city of Sharjah in the UAE. "You have lower rents and lower costs of living overall...We're seeing migration from Dubai to Sharjah happening," property consultancy firm Cushman & Wakefield Core's Prathyusha Gurrapu said.
