Dubai's viral Kunafa chocolate bar, which includes pistachio cream, shredded pastry and milk chocolate, has triggered global shortage of pistachio. The chocolate was first created by boutique Emirati chocolatier FIX in 2021 and had gone viral through a TikTok video dated December 2023. Due to the high demand, pistachio prices have jumped worldwide, as per the Financial Times.
