ASML, a Dutch chip equipment maker, has accused a former employee in China of stealing data related to its proprietary technology. "We have experienced unauthorised misappropriation of data relating to proprietary technology by a (now) former employee in China," the company said in its annual report. The breach may have violated certain export control regulations, ASML added.
