Dutch hospital staff fail to follow PPE rules, quarantined over hantavirus

A Dutch hospital has quarantined 12 staff members after they were potentially exposed to a patient infected with hantavirus. According to reports, the employees handled the patient’s blood and urine samples without wearing proper PPE (personal protective equipment). While officials said the risk of infection remains low, the hospital has placed the affected staff under a six-week quarantine.
