Dwat Mahadev: secluded Himalayan shrine shaped by ancient folklore
High above the forested slopes of Chamba lies Dwat Mahadev, a little-known mountain shrine where faith, folklore and the unmatched beauty of the Himalayas come together. Perched at around 2,300 metres in the Sidhkund area, the ancient temple stands atop a pyramid-shaped mountain, surrounded by magnificent deodar forests and breathtaking views of the Chamba Valley.
