External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar would represent PM Narendra Modi at the 20th East Asia Summit in Malaysia on October 27, the ministry announced. This comes hours after PM Modi spoke with Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim. He confirmed that he would not be travelling to Kuala Lumpur for the 22nd ASEAN-India summit, but would attend it virtually.
