Early CPAM diagnosis can improve outcomes: AIIMS expert

AIIMS paediatric surgeon Prof Vishesh Jain said early diagnosis of congenital pulmonary airway malformation (CPAM) through prenatal scans can improve treatment outcomes. He said lung-sparing keyhole surgery between three and six months of age helps preserve healthy lung tissue, enables faster recovery and supports better long-term lung growth in affected infants.
