Earth Hour will be observed on Saturday from 8:30pm-9:30pm by people across the world in their local time zones. World Wide Fund and its partners have urged people globally "to switch off their lights and give an hour for Earth, spending 60 minutes doing something, anything, positive for our planet". It started as a symbolic lights-out event in 2007.
