A study published in the Geophysical Research Letters has stated that Earth's axis has tilted by 31.5 inches (around 80 centimetres). The study stated that it has happened particularly due to the extraction of groundwater. As per researchers, the shift is not only altering the planet's rotation but is also contributing to rising sea levels.
