short by Sourav Kumar / on Thursday, 28 May, 2026
Scientists at China University of Geosciences suggest Earth's orbital wobble may have triggered extreme climate swings during the Late Cretaceous period. As Earth's axis slowly shifted like a spinning top, the planet alternated between humid and arid phases periodically.
