Uttarakhand's Chamoli district on Sunday experienced an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale, according to the National Center for Seismology. As per the NCS website, the earthquake took place at 3:35 am today at a depth of 5 kilometres. An earthquake of 3.8 magnitude was reported in the Dehradun district in August last year.
