The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday filed an FIR against Maharashtra's BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde amid allegations of cash distribution to voters in the Palghar district. Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) leader Hitendra Thakur has alleged that Tawde distributed money to voters in Virar. Notably, this comes just one day ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.
